The Dell 720 Photo Printer prints both black-and-white and color documents on five different types of paper. The printer width is 15.9 inches, making this a compact model for either home or business use. The printing capacity is up to 13 pages per minute, with a high dpi (dots per inch) resolution. The printer uses two Dell ink cartridges.
Paper Specifications
The Dell 720 Photo Printer takes a variety of paper sizes. The paper load is up to 50 sheets of 8.5-by-11-inch paper, 20 sheets of banner paper, 10 envelopes, 25 card-sized sheets of paper and 25 sheets of photo paper.
Printing Features
The printing features of the Dell 720 Photo Printer include a paper support, a paper guide to ensure the paper is properly fed into the printer and a paper exit tray to capture the printed paper. The printer prints up to 13 pages per minute (monochromatic) or 8 pages per minute (color). For both black-and-white and color printing, horizontal resolution is 4800 dpi (dots per inch) and vertical resolution is 1200 dpi.
Printer Software
The Dell 720 Photo Printer comes bundled with specific printer software for ease of use. Insert the CD into your computer and install the Dell Printer Solution Center. The software includes tabs for the following sections: How-To, Troubleshooting, Maintenance, Advanced Functions and Contact Information. There is a Help section for advanced questions and tutorials. The software is designed for the Windows XP operating system.
Printer Ink
The Dell 720 Photo Printer uses only Dell high-capacity ink cartridges and requires two cartridges: black and color. The product number for the black ink cartridge is 16/T0529 and the product number for the color ink cartridge is 26/T0530. The color ink cartridge includes three colors: cyan, magenta and yellow.
