Civil War Era Nine Patch Quilt, 1860/1880's, - #1309111

This is an excellent Nine Patch pattern quilt made in the 1860 - 80's with 100% cotton fabrics. It is completely hand pieced and hand quilted. It is in excellent condition with no fading or stains. It does have 4 small tears in the backing fabric near one end (see pic 4). The front is completely undamaged. It has a thin wool batt. This is a marvelous civil war era quilt that has survived in this remarkable condition with only very minor damage to the backing fabric. It measures 74" x 74" in size and is in excellent condition for a quilt that is 140 to 150 tears old. This quilt was obtained from the estate of a lady in southeastern Wisconsin who was an avid quilter and also collected antique quilts. We have a total of 5 antique quilts available for sale from the portion of her collection that the was not retained by the family.
