Custom Made Camcorder Stabilizer
I was searching for a steadycam or stabilizer for my videos, when I seen the prices of commercial ones, I said whoa!
almost makes one decide the business or hobby costs too much.
And a lot looked like they would be uncomfortable and the headache of balancing the camera with weights and all....seems like you would spend most the time setting it all up while you miss good shots. So...I decided to make my own!
I tried several different setups before I made this one and it is very comfortable to use and depending on the weight of your camera and add-ons it's probably around 4 pounds total.
The unit is lightweight and is made from schedule 40 PVC and very sturdy, it has foam grips and is almost like holding on handle bars of a bike....very ergonomic.
The stabilizer comes with 4-1/4" mounts to attach any 1/4" light or microphone or other accessories, as you can see from the one unfinished photo where i have my 7" monitor mounted on the top.
The rubber feet on the unit are non-skid for tabletop use.
I have also included two velcro wire straps to tie down loose wires.
The camera....microphone...light...wires and 7" monitor ARE NOT INCLUDED
Feel free to ask any questions.
Disclaimer;
The handle grips, Velcro straps, and may be a different color or style...but the handle grips with be non-slip foam.
