This is a USED Cassette that I bought at an Estate Sale, looks to be in Very Good Condition, but I have not played them. So I am selling them "AS IS". they have only been visually inspected. Personnel: Charlie Daniels (vocals, guitar). This 1992 budget compilation is called AT HIS BEST, and not GREATEST HITS, for the simple reason that a lot of Daniels' fans think that his biggest hits were not his best songs. They could be right, and it's certainly refreshing to hear a Charlie Daniels Band compilation that doesn't include "The Devil Went Down to Georgia."The biggest hit here is "The South's Gonna Do it Again," one of Daniels' more overt proud-redneck anthems. "Damn Good Cowboy" and the linked pair "Texas" and "Tennessee" further the regional pride motif, but country weepers like "High Lonesome" and "I'll Always Remember That Song" expand the compilation's emotional range. However, the clear highlight is a stunning version of the standard "Orange Blossom Special," which proves that first and foremost, Charlie Daniels is a damn fine fiddle player.....
