The painting "Burchell's Zebras" was done by Stacey Brown, an Alberta College of Art and Design graduate and current Animal Health Technology student at Olds College, Olds, Alberta. It is inspired by the photograph taken by veterinarian, Dr. Veronica Barkowski during her attendance at the World Veterinary Congress in South Africa, 2011. All proceeds, are going towards Olds College's Animal Health Club. The Animal Health Club has three objectives; generate awareness of the veterinary healthcare team, promote animal health, and to raise funds to send Olds College AHT/VMR students to an annual veterinary conference. The Animal Health Club is also dedicated to creating the best quality of life for the animals in the care of the College, and creating a positive and supportive learning environment for the students in the animal care field at Olds College.
