This is a small ring/trinket box hand-made, from Venezuela. It is Yecuana pottery, and is NEW. This piece measures 2"across x 1.25" high and is hinged with leather.
Yecuana Pottery
Yecuana is the ancient Venezuelan language of the Pemone Indians. Today their Andean descendants make this earthy yet intricate pottery from local clay made of quartz sand. The pottery is decorated with designs from petroglyphs, from native art, and from modern times. The designs are imprinted into the clay then painted with natural oxide paints. Each design is unique.
