Up for auction is a small arrowhead found in a family estate. I am not able to say this is an authenic early arrowhead, as it looks to be polished and I just don't know if the technology existed to polish in the 17th century!
Anyway, it is a piece of stone that was hand chiseled to form an arrowhead, and a very nice one at that! Please be aware of the size (2" x 1"), as the photo is highly enlarged for you to see detail. I remember several trips to the Grand Canyon during my childhood, where this may have come from, maybe around the 60's or 70's (?).
The rock used looks like granite, maybe, I am just not sure. The actual item is lighter than the photo, more grey than yellow.
