Apollo I was to be the first manned flight of the lunar program. A 10 day earth orbit test of the Command Service Module. Sadly on January 27, 1967 a fire in the casule druing a launch pad test resulted in the loss of Gus Grissom, Ed White, adn Roger Chaffee, causing an 18 month delay in the program. Here we have one of the last photos of the crew done in 50 year durabrite inks. The capsule camers shows on the left Roger Chaffee, center is Ed White, and on the right Gus Grissom.
