This is Merry Marion, Artistic Series 502. made by Raphael Tuck, the famous English printing firm, copyright 1894. This is an original set, not a reproduction! This set comes with 1 doll (with replaced feet) & 3 costumes.
The doll is marked Artistic Series 502, The bottom of her feet have been added with scanned duplicates printed on cardstock and applied to the bottom of her feet. She has a repair at her neck, her coloring is great!.
Her first costume is green with white trim and is marked Artistic Series 502d, (the costume is missing it's right foot, has bends to it's right sleeve and dress, is missing both tabs).
Her second costume is marked Artistic Series 502b, is blue with brown trim and brown boots (the costume is missing it's left foot, has a repaired bend on it's right leg and foot, also some bends to her left shoulder, coloring is good, 1 tab is missing).
Her third costume is marked Artistic Series 502c (the costume is missing it's left foot, has repaired bends to it's right foot and right side bottom of the dress, otherwise it is in good condition, is missing both tabs).
This is a nice set of paper dolls that is over 100 years old!. Paper doll measures about 13" tall (with added lower feet). The costumes are around 11 1/2" tall.
