Item Description
This is a 20" tall china head doll made in Germany from an unknown manufacturer circa 1890-1930. This dolls head is made of china (glazed porcelain) and the body is made of cloth. The body which is original to the body, has stub arms and boot like feet (the black stockings are sewn to the feet). The stockings have some holes and the dolls body has some staining. The body is in good shape for such an old doll. The clothing is old and looks to be original to the doll. The clothing consists of a dress with a ribbon tied at the waist and a slip which is sewn to the body. The head is nicely painted with no breaks or hairlines. The painted blond hair is a German low-brow hair style. The doll is unmarked. She is 20" tall, her head is 4 1/2" tall (measured from the bottom of the shoulderplate to the top of the head) and 4" wide at the shoulderplate sides. The head circumference is 9". The book price for this doll is: $150.00 - $200.00, my reserve price on this doll is a much lower $55.60. This doll is in great shape for being over 100 years old!
