Antique 4 Section Japan Pottery Relish Serving Dish (0558-C)

This is a very pretty hand-painted Relish or Serving Plate which is stamped "Made In Japan". This plate has a fruit and flower design with 4 separate serving sections and a really unique ball handle in the center. While the stamp really doesn't give an indication of the age of this serving platter, the fire cracks certainly do. They are a clear indication that it is definitely very old! The hand painted fruits and flowers are quite lovely. The serving dish measures 9 1/4" across the center. If I had to guess age, I would say probably from the 1940's or 1950's, but I can't be sure about that. This is a real eye-catcher and a piece sure to attract attention when displayed! There are no chips or cracks - just a really neat vintage server.
