The Acrylic Cupcake stands are designed to store flat. In fact a 7 tier Cupcake stand is shipped in a 20x20x4" (yes a 4" high box) box, that includes 1" of Styrofoam on the top and bottom. After the protective paper is removed, it is best to put a paper towel between the parts when storing.
