THIS IS RARE AND HARD TO FIND SET OF 6 QUADRUPLE PLATED EGG HOLDERS MADE BY ROGERS & BROS, MARKED WITH A LOW NUMBER 31. THE SIZE: 1 1/2 INCH TALL, 2 INCH LONG. THEY ALL ARE IN A SHAPE OF LILY FLOWER OR NENUPHAR AND STAND ON LILY LEAVES. THE CONDITION: REALLY GOOD CONSIDERING THE AGE, NO MISSING PIECES, NO REPAIRS, NO DENTS, SOME EXPECTED WEAR TO THE PLATING, BUT TO THE INTERIORS AND TO LEAVES. THE INTERIOR USED TO BE GILDED. WONDERFUL SET FOR THE COLLECTORS. I HAVE BUTTER DISH IN SIMILAR THEME IN ANOTHER AUCTION.
