ANTIQUE DRESSMAKER CARDBOARD DRESS FORM

This is a very unique cardboard dress form. I preserved the outer surface which was in very poor condition. I coated the outside with plaster and sanded it down, then I painted the body and cut fabric into patches. I then podged the fabric over the entire body and covered with 3 coats of min wax. I glued navy fringe trim to the upper and lower body. the inside and bottom is still the original cardboard and wood base. I painted the stand with 2 coats of Debbie Travis stone paint and preserved wood with 2 coats of min wax. Original tightener is still inside to raise and lower the dress form. This is a wonderful piece for any seamstress, collector or store owner to display antique and vintage clothing. Handcrafted by Penny Lynn.
