ANTIQUE CHINESE EMBROIDERY QI LIN / DRAGON HORSE THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL, CIRCULAR, ANTIQUE CHINESE EMBROIDERED MAT / WALL HANGING. THE MAT DEPICTS A YOUNG BOY RIDING QI LIN (THE DRAGON HORSE). THE MYTHICAL QI LIN SYMBOLIZES SUCCESS, PROSPERITY, LONGEVITY, AND FERTILITY. IT IS A SYMBOL OF GREATNESS. THIS CIRCULAR MAT MEASURES 16 Â½" DIAMETER. IT IS IN WONDERFUL CONDITION WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME MINOR SPOTS, WHICH CAN BE SEEN IN PICTURE # 2 NEAR THE REAR HOOF. THE AGE OF THIS IS UNKNOWN. IT WAS ACQUIRED THROUGH AN ESTATE SALE ALONG WITH 2 OTHER WORKS THAT I HAVE LISTED. THOSE 2 ITEMS DID COME WITH CERTIFICATES OF ANTIQUITY DATING THEM AT OVER 134 YEARS OLD.
