Rees Naper and his Uncle Milo had never seen eye-to-eye about the Ishkurians.
Milo felt that these reptile-men had been wronged by Terrans and could be won
over with brotherly love. Rees, however, knew the Ishkurians well, knew that the
"crocs," as they were nicknamed, were filled with hate for all things Terran and
could never be trusted.
The Terran authorities had now decided to withdraw from Ishkur and allow
self-government. Rees naper's worst fears were realized when the Crocs went on a
killing rampage. Now they were searching for Rees' own scalp!
Cut off from all civilization, Rees saw that his only chance for survival was
to outwit the cunning natives. To do this, he would have to learn to think like
a Croc, feel like a Croc, and view the world through the Eye of the
Monster!
Sea Siege

 On a remote
Caribbean island, a mixed group of scientists, naval officers, and (sometimes)
helpful natives are investigating mysterious occurrences beneath the sea. Fish
and cephalopods which cannot exist in nature, mysteriously-colored waters,
mental images being projected by something inhuman! When the island loses all
communication with the rest of the world, perhaps because of the outbreak of
atomic war, survival alone would be a difficult problem. But when basic survival
is combined with dealing with new and different things coming out of the
ocean (see cover), any chance of return to normalcy is gone, lost and gone
forever. Great stuff!
