This is a 5 book set of stories in a place called Acadia. It takes place over a span of years following 2 families from the time the French were driven out of Nova Scotia by the British down several years. It is a series of stories between the French settlement and English settlement where people keep to themselves until fate intervenes.

The dust covers of these books show some wear, but were from a book club and went unread, sitting in the shipping boxes they came in. They are part of an estate sale and sold as one unit.
