Great Special Mint Set still packed in it's original outer box. Just like new! Contains a Kennedy Half, Washington Quarter, Roosevelt Dime, Nickel and Cent. Although 90% silver coins in proof and mint sets were discontinued after 1964, this special mint set still contains a Kennedy Half that is 40% pure silver, a Washington Quarter, a Roosevelt Dime, a Nickel and a Cent. The only way to get these 1965 - 1967 part silver halves was in the special mint sets.

This is one of the 3 years (1965 - 1967) that the Mint produced these sets, replacing both Proof and Uncirculated Mint Sets with this one product while making the transition for minting proof sets from Philadelphia to San Francisco.
