A coin with incomparable beauty, color and value makes a perfect homage to the "The Sistine Ceiling", a masterpiece of Renaissance art repainted between 1508 and 1512, by the Italian artist Michelangelo Buonarroti, possibly the greatest artist who has ever lived. This spectacular 1 kg coin, consists of 33, according to Michelangelo´s structure, edgeless colorprinted bars, of 5 different sizes, which all put together form one coin unit. Issued by Niue Island made of Silver 999 with Proof quality. The Sistine Chapel ceiling is entirely reproduced on 33 coins edgeless that enhance the beauty and complexity of the Michelanges's masterpiece. The cut of the money is designed to respect the painting's architecture: on lateral side there are 6 coin square shaped representing the four Pendentives and the Prophets Jonah and Zechariah; the central part shows nine stories of the Genesis represented on 9 coins rectangular shaped; 8 coins depict the Webs and 10 the Sybils and in the upper and lower edges a total of 8 currencies for sails and other 10 for Sybil and the Prophets.
The coins are issued a legal tender in Niue Island. The obverse of each coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
