You are viewing an extremely unique and hard-to-find R.Vandamme 1995 Large Ceramic Birdhouse.
The face appears to be mounted to wood, which is actually the same material, only painted to look like wood.The facial creases are enhanced with dark brown paint, as well as some brown rubbing on various parts of the face.The entire piece is covered with a clear glossy finish and there is a hanging chain attached to two eye-screws mounted on the front and back of the ‘wood’.
This birdhouse face is called “JAKE†and it still has the Sweet Pea Collection label glued to the bottom.
I purchased this and three other pieces in 1995.All are currently listed.
