Item Description
This is for the Brenda Starr Reporter book which
reprinted "The Strange Case of the Beastly Twins" along with the First
Mystery Man Story (Basil St. John), both by Dale Messick (real name
Dalia Messick, who created the Brenda Starr character in 1940 and wrote
the strip for 42 years). This was published by Blackthorne Publishing
in 1986 under the label of "Comic-Strip Preserves." Softcover. Also
includes 7 pages of reproduced "cut-outs" (basically, paper dolls), as
well as a color version on the back cover (see picture). Book is 71
pages.
Book has very light downward curving from storage (will flatten). Lower
right corner of front cover and lower left corner of back cover have a
light diagonal crease, I think from a bump. Pages are white and this
appears to be unread. Very, very nice condition. This had a pretty low
print run and is very scarce. You can buy it from $50 to $100 on
amazon, or buy it here from us for only $24.99!
