5 1/4 inch tall glass is in excellent condition with mint graphics on a frosted background
Back of the glass lists the previous 110 Kentucky Derby Winners and the years with special markings for the fillies and the Triple Crown Winners
The 1985 Kentucky Derby Winner was Spend A Buck and the jockey was Angel Cordero. Spend A Buck swept the race wire to wire, upsetting favorite Chief’s Crown, in the third fastest time in Derby history of 2:00 1/5.
Spend A Buck’s owner decided to skip the Preakness and the Belmont and instead raced him in the Jersey Derby capturing a $2.6 million dollar prize
Spend A Buck was voted 1985 Eclipse Horse of the Year and Champion 3 year old colt
He went on to sire 27 stakes winners before his death on November 24, 2002 from a reaction to a medication
