Measures 3 5/8 inches long by 2 inches high
Lesney Products, the makers of Matchbox toys, produced several ranges of the Models of Yesteryear series starting in 1956
At first the Lipton Tea delivery vans featured the crest of the British royal family. It was already on sale when Lesney discovered that permission to use the crest had been refused
This model is based on the 1927 14 horse power Talbot car chassis, this van was provided with a custom built body to accommodate the buyers needs and enabled tradesmen to have a speedy means of delivery for their goods
