1950 WASHINGTON 25c PCGS PR65 Cameo           DON'T PASS UP THIS KEY DATE COIN!  PCGS price guide $485.00! Excellent example of a Cameo in a 1950 Washington quarter.Early 1950's proofs are very scarce in grades exceeding PF65. Even scarcer in a PF65 CAMEO. This was the first year since 1942 any proofs were minted in the US. Early modern proofs packaging allowed the coins to slide around freely, and a lot of coins suffer from hairlines and are clouded,  have milk or glue spots, or mishandled.It is estimated that 2% or less have been graded a CAMEO or better.Ultra-Deep Cameo examples are almost non-existent but there are a handful, These are seldom offered for sale.Veteran collectors realized that these early Cameo pieces were exceptional and worthy of some interest. Great coin for PCGS or NGC Set Registry.GRADED BY ONE OF THE MOST RESPECTED THIRD PARTY GRADING COMPANIES PCGS.
