Item Description

The coin shown is the actual coin you will receive. What you see is what you get!

SHIPPING: I ship to any address with a zip code, even P.O. Boxes via the U.S. Postal Service, Monday thru Friday. I'll shoot you an e-mail when I mail out your item. The shipping cost of .45 cents covers the mailing of one coin. BEST DEAL: I will gladly combine shipping for multiple coins, for each coin, add just .20 cents. If you do purchase more than one coin, please place your order then wait for us to send a Webstore invoice. Any store combinations other than coins, I will have to calculate. If you wish to combine shipping, please do not pay until I send you an INVOICE, so you pay the correct amount. If you pay before I send you an invoice, I cannot combine shipping costs.

Please feel free to e-mail me any questions you may have, I'm easy to get along with. All my coins are handled with gloves; when I receive them I take a picture, then they are placed in a sealed container never being touched again. I don't attempt to grade them, but sometimes I'll give you my best guess as to condition. I use a high definition macro lens, no scans here, so you be the judge. As my feedback reflects, my goal is to please and I would hope that is your goal, too! I don’t have a lot to sell, but what I do sell is of the highest quality, that's my guarantee. Positive feedback will be given upon receipt of payment and I would appreciate the same in return when delivered-if I’ve earned it, of course. I am constantly adding more items as they become available, so please check back often, or add me as a favorite store! I hope you like what I have to offer, but above all, ENJOY LIFE AND HAVE FUN!!!

All of my products come from a smoke and pet free location. That's how I roll..........

Thanks for Shopping!!

LINCOLN WHEAT EARS REVERSE: 1909-1958:

The following was taken from the 2010 "Official Red Book Guide of United States Coins, by Whitman Publishing" considered to be the "Bible" of U.S. coins.

Victor D. Brenner designed this cent, which was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth. The designer's initials (V.D.B) appear on the reverse of a limited quantity of cents of 1909. The initials were restored, in 1918, to the obverse side on Lincoln's shoulder. The Lincoln type was the first cent to have the motto IN GOD WE TRUST.

Composition-1909-1942: weight 3.11 grams, .950 copper, .050 tin and zinc, plain edge, mints: Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco.

Owing to a shortage of copper during the critical war year 1943, the Treasury Department resorted to the use of zinc-coated steel for cents. No bronze cents were officially issued in 1943. A few specimens struck on the bronze planchets by error are known to exist. Through a similar error, a few of the 1944 cents were struck on steel planchets.

Composition-1943: Weight 2.70 grams, steel coated with zinc.

Cartridge cases were salvaged for coinage of 1944 through 1946. Although the color was slightly different for Uncirculated coins, they proved satisfactory in every respect.

Composition-1944-1946: Weight, 3.11 grams, .950 copper, .050 zinc.

Composition-1947-1958: Weight, 3.11 grams, .950 copper, .050 tin and zinc.
