1936 TootsieToy Tootsie Toy Green Diecast Military Army Plane
The U.S. Army plane first
appeared in 1936, in a variety of colors. This toy was the first
military aircraft made by TootsieToy and can be rather loosely
attributed to a Northrop Gamma proposal for the Army Air Corps. It had
U.S. Army and star in a circle roundels embossed on the wings
Oxidation to metal propeller
Vintage wear to the green paint
Working propeller
Missing one white rubber tire, axle has some vintage metal rusting, tire moves freely, tire has hardened with age
Measures 2 3/4 inches long x 4 inches wide
U.S. Army and Service Stars on the wings
