This is the 1936 issue of The Mortonian, the yearbook for J. Sterling Morton High School, Cicero, Illinois. It is also the senior yearbook for ballet dancer John Kriza, who performed for many years with American Ballet Theatre. He appears in four photos in the yearbook:
- His senior photo (head shot)
- As a board member of the Morton School Government Association (head shot)
- As Vice-President of the Czech Club (group photo)
- As a member of the Boys' Tumbling Team (group photo)
The cover is actually a bit darker than the scan, especially the pillar, but between the scanner and my photo editing software the only other choices I had were "brilliant" and "sludge".

SOME LITERARY EFFORTS BY CREATIVE WRITING STUDENTS
There are many autographs in this book, which was owned by someone named Ann. All 202 unnumbered glossy pages are present, untorn, and free of dog-ears; many are lightly to moderately soiled. The front free end page has a *small* chip several inches up from the bottom. There is no mildew, or water damage, and there are no stuck pages. The corners are bumped. The binding is tight.
This annual year book is 11 inches tall and 8 inches wide, and weighs 2 pounds 1 ounce.
