A composite train made up of equipment from the regular Burlington trains
U.S. Railway Post Office car – A working post office, visitors could write postcards here and see them postmarked
Reclining chair car (Aristocrat) – demonstrated the latest style of adjustable and reclining chairs
Dining car (Black Hawk) – staggered table settings instead of the straight row arrangement
Salon bed room Pullman (Black Hawk) – half the car was for high class, overnight travel with individual bedrooms, real beds and drawing rooms. The other half was a club like lounging room
14 Section Pullman (Aristocrat)
Lounge car (Ak-Sar-Ben) – down filled cushions, foursome seats for card playing, ashtrays and electric lighters, a radio, glass enclosed rear observation platform and a separate special room for the ladies

Behind it is a reproduction of the first railway car in which U.S. Mail was assorted in transit (1862) and thus the actual starting point of today’s extensive Railway Post Office service

Shipping within the U.S. via USPS with Delivery Confirmation will be $3.00. Insured U.S. shipping is optional but recommended as I cannot control what happens to your package once I hand it over to the Post Office. If you would like insurance please include $1.70 in the total. If you would like me to ship outside the U.S. please contact me for a shipping quote as international shipping rates will be higher.
