1930s/1940s Hubley Cap Toy Gun
Hubley was from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and started in 1894. The Hubley Company made some of the finest Cap Guns. The Texans and the Cowboy were especially popular. They made guns with nice scrollwork and some that were gold. They are still considered very valuable collector's items
This antique metal cap gun has good trigger action with the classic popping; the trigger is a bit loose and needs to be tightened
The gun needs a good cleaning and oiling, one of the fasteners in the handle is dented so the two sides of the gun do not meet up and there are some vintage marks in the barrel of the gun
Gun measures 6 1/4 inches long
It is marked with the Hubley red star which is faded with age and âHUBâ
