On February 3, 1930 Roy Disney
signed a contract for Disney merchandising with George Borgfeldt and
Company, this is widely considered the beginning of Disney
merchandising. The Borgfeldt Company was founded in 1881 by George
Borgfeldt, who passed away in 1903, and the company carried on after his
death
Plate is in terrific condition with no chips, cracks or crazing in the glaze
Graphics are nice and bright with very minimal fad spots to Mickey Mouse
Plate measures 3 3/4 inches across
