Item Description

This is a 114 year old Henry Distin sivler plated Bb Tenor Horn. The bell serial number is 15794, and the serial number on the 2nd valve is 17071, which dates this instrument to have been made in 1897. This instrument has fancy filigree on all of the ferrals and braces. Unfortunately at some point in time someone tried to free up the 3rd valve by shoving something up the bottom of the 3rd valve casing. In doing so they damaged 2 of the 3 ports in this valve. This damage will have to be repaired before this instrument is playable once again. The 1st and 2nd valve work well, but all the slide are frozen. There are some dings, dents and signs of past repair work, but over all the body is in good shape for it's age. This instrument does not come with a mouthpiece or case.
