Item Description

The is a Lyon & Healy the Shoulder"(OTS) "Top-action-rotary-valve"(TARV) Eb Cornet. This Cornet is made of brass and plays great. All of the slides and valves work very well and no further work needs to be done to this instrument. You will notice that there is a small patch on the 3rd valve tuning slide. This Cornet does not come with a case or mouthpiece. This would be a perfect instrument for a Civil War reenactment band. This Cornet was originally a Bell Forward Cornet, but the bell was so badly damaged that it had to be replaced to make this Cornet playable again. Since the bell had to be replaced, I had this Cornet converted into an OTS Cornet and fully restored. I will ship the original bell with this Cornet if the buyer requests for me to do so.
