2 Antique 1917 West Shore Railroad Ticket Stubs
The West Shore Railroad was built to connect New York City with Buffalo and compete with the New York Central
The line began in 1874 and
reached Buffalo around 1884, it was leased by New York Central and
Hudson River Railroad Company in 1885, it operated this way until 1952
when it merged into the New York Central, and passenger service was
discontinued in 1959
Today the line serves as a freight route for the CSX primary route from New York City to the west shore of the Hudson River
These antique cardboard stub are in excellent condition, especially for their age
They do have a couple of push pin holes – see pictures
