Item Description

This set is really cute. This is another of the "special" sets. The rubber is purple instead of the usual red. I think this was one of the Hostess Sets from a few years back. The rubber is not stained. A few of the wood blocks do have some staining. This set is VERY gently used and already mounted on the wood blocks. This is one of the "Two Step Stamping" sets. You could stamp the more solid image with a light color and then stamp the outline corresponding image in a darker color.

More Info About Stampin Up Retired Stamps:

Stampin Up retired stamps and stamp kits are those stamps and stamp kits that are no longer produced by the Stampin Up company. Many Stampin Up retired stamps are quite rare and hard to find, and competitive collectors and rubber stamping hobbyists are in constant search for them. The Stampin Up retired sets that are still in their original packages and have never been used are in the highest demand from collectors, and can actually be worth significant amounts.

Even though Stampin Up designs and releases over 100 new stamps each year, many of the retired stamps are still greatly admired and sought after. This is partly because they are simply unavailable, and rarity often translates into value. It is also because those who truly love creating stamping arts and crafts enjoy the great variety past stamp sets provide when mixed in with those that are currently available.

Anyone who is familiar with the Stampin Up company knows that the stamp sets are created with various themes in mind. For example, you can find numerous sets with the theme of love. Many of the sets are designed to coordinate and add to other sets. This also applies to the retired stamps. Therefore, a retired Halloween, love or Christmas themed set may greatly add variety to some of the newer sets with similar themes.

You can find retired Stampin Up stamps in fair to mint and even new condition. Some stamps are sold individually or in pairs while others are still in their complete sets. Retired Stampin Up stamps make excellent gifts for loved ones who enjoy any types of arts and crafts.
