COKE Ad On Back
Cover
A short history of Coca-Cola Ads on the back cover of
National Geographic magazine.
From April 1933 until June of 1965 anywhere from three to six
monthly issues for each year contained a full page Coca-Cola
advertisement on the back cover. All but 5 of those 33 years
included 6 issues per year for a total of 188 issues containing
these wonderful ads The 32 December issues contain Cokeâs
famous Haddon Sundblom Santas, February usually depicted a
Valentines Day theme, Aprilâs reminded us of Spring, June and
July the happy days of Summer, etc., while the war years typically
reminded us to support our troops. As you can imagine, a collection
of these ads would not only provide the collector with 33 years of
Coca-Cola history but also a glimpse of what America and its people
and pastimes were over that same 33 year period. This is one of
those issues / ads.
