Pac Man, Atari, Cartridge and Instruction Booklet , 1981, Maze, 1 or 2 players. One of the most infamous video games ever produced, Pac-Man was vilified at the time of its release, thanks to its pale, blocky graphics, flickering ghosts, and unrecognizable maze configuration. Pac-Man himself, who players guide around the maze, gobbling up dots and running from ghosts, canâ€™t face up or down when he goes in those directions, and the bonus fruits have been changed to vitamin pills. Regardless, the game, thanks to name recognition, was one of the best selling 2600 titles of all time (it became the pack-in title with the system in 1983).
