Item Description
I originally thought this was a matching set of 2 Master Salt Cellars or Toothpick Holders made by Heisey Glass Company. Heisey made elegant glassware pieces which are highly collectible. Another eBayer informed me that these were not salt cellars or toothpick holders, but instead they are mustards. He also informed me that these were not made by Heisey and that they have been attributed to Imperial Glass as the "Penny" pattern. I did some additional research and I cannot find another pattern similar to Crystolite. I also cannot find anything on the Penny pattern by Imperial Glass. Anyone who can give me any additional information, please do so.
These 2 pieces are in fabulous condition with no chips or cracks. They would also work very well to hold a special sauce or grated cheese for that elegant romantic dinner you may be planning. (Or for mustard...) They each measure about 1 1/2" high and 1 5/8" across. The set was most likely made in the 1900's
