.....U.S. BIDDERS ONLY PLEASE.....I'm selling off some of my late Uncle's collection of world coins and banknotes he aquired during his tour of duty in WWII. Here's a 1943, 1 Franc coin in EF condition. The coin is an all aluminum composition as brass was being conserved to support the war effort, has alot of detail (considering the fact that this composition of aluminum is very soft) and has never been cleaned. This coin was minted after the German occupation of France and has the words Travail, Famille, Patrie (Work, Family, Fatherland) replacing the Republican triad Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity) and the emblem of the Vichy regime added. Coin will come in a 2x2 cardboard/mylar coin holder.
